Found this on kate's journal, and couldn't resist taking it myself:
Your result for What Your Taste in Art Says About You Test... Extroverted, Progressive, and Intelligent19 Cubist, 3 Islamic, -9 Ukiyo-e, -22 Impressionist, 3 Abstract and -17 Renaissance!
Cubism was a 20th century avant-garde movement, pioneered by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque. It revolutionized European art and inspired changes in music and literature. The first branch of cubism, known as Analytic Cubism. It was both radical and influential as a short but highly significant art movement between 1908 and 1911 mainly in France. In its second phase, Synthetic Cubism, (using synthetic materials in the art) the movement spread and remained vital until around 1919. People that chose Cubist paintings as their favorite art form tend to be very individualized people. They are more extroverted and less afraid of speaking their opinions then other people. They tend to be progressive and are very forward thinking. As the cubist painting is like looking into a shattered mirror where you can see different angles of the images, the people that prefer these paintings like looking at all angles of a problem. These people are intelligent and they are the transformers of our generation. They look beyond what is seen into what things could become. They are ready to leave the ideas of the past behind and look at what the future has to offer. Take What Your Taste in Art Says About You Test at HelloQuizzy

You are The Hermit
Prudence, Caution, Deliberation.
The Hermit points to all things hidden, such as knowledge and inspiration, hidden enemies. The illumination is from within, and retirement from participation in current events.
The Hermit is a card of introspection, analysis and, well, virginity. You do not desire to socialize; the card indicates, instead, a desire for peace and solitude. You prefer to take the time to think, organize, ruminate, take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent but these feelings eventually lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.
The Hermit represents a wise, inspirational person, friend, teacher, therapist. This a person who can shine a light on things that were previously mysterious and confusing.

| Random Quote Meme |
[17 Aug 2006|10:35am] |
blatantly stolen from under the nose of elizabuffy:
Go look through random quotes and look through random quotes until you find five that you think reflect who you are or what you believe. Repost in your journal and tag five friends.
1. "The ultimate result of shielding men from the effects of folly is to fill the world with fools." --Herbert Spencer (1820 - 1903)
2. "I have lived some thirty years on this planet and I have yet to hear the first syllable of valuable or even earnest advice from my seniors." --Henry David Thoreau (1817 - 1862)
3. "All men dream: but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dream with open eyes, to make it possible." --T.E. Lawrence (1888 - 1935)
4. "A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against its government." --Edward Abbey (1927 - 1989)
5. "I believe reality is a marvelous joke staged for my edification and amusement, and everybody is working very hard to make me happy." --Terence McKenna (1946 - 2000)
And a little bonus, because I just love this quote so much I couldn't help myself (this did not come from the random quote page though, but I don't care):
6. "Well, I believe in the soul, the cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days. Goodnight." --Crash Davis (Kevin Costner in "Bull Durham", 1988)
hmmmm....now if only I could think of 5 people to tag...ok, got it: gray_ghost, vettiebean, katekat1010, ariyanakylstram, snapcakedeb

Uggghhh...I've been deathly afraid of these things since I saw my first one at age 16.
( Placed behind a cut for the squeamish...a VERY LARGE potato bug )
But at least I know now that I'm not alone: http://www.potatobugs.com/ provides bug-haters like me with a place to learn more about these banes of my existence. Heck, their tag line alone says it all: This site is dedicated to the fabrication and perpetuation of fear, hate and disgust for the Potato Bug. Please, won't you join us?
I think that sums it up nicely, don't you? =)

So, I'm watching a little TV at lunch and an ad comes on for Vol. 3 of the Beavis & Butthead show (on DVD). It got me thinking back to my youth, when they were actually funny. So I went out and dug up the original "Frog Baseball" short that started it all. I saw this for the first time at Spike & Mike's Sick & Twisted Animation Festival 15 YEARS AGO with my very first girlfriend...I can't believe it has been that long--but I still think it is the funniest B&B short ever made!
Anyway, a little nostalgia (and some frog guts) for my flist on a gloomy (yet still hot) Tuesday afternoon:

 | You scored as Jigsaw. You are Jigsaw. You dont enjoy killing people at all. You instead love to see how far people will go to live. However if it ends in a bloody death, you still sleep with a smile on your face. You are intelligent, and know how to outwit just about anyone. And that spells bad news for anyone who falls into your games of death and torture.
